Did you know that Dux D’Lux boasts the only Queen in the state of Mississippi (that we know of)? It’s true! According to the Dux D’Lux By-laws, submitted with the articles of incorporation:
“The Queen shall be the principal executive officer and sovereign of the corporation… All shareholders, directors of the corporation, and other folk of common birth who shall not have attained royal status shall address the Queen as ‘Your Majesty,’ shall avert their gaze from her face, and shall not address the Queen until she addresses them first.”
That last bit, of course, doesn’t apply to the customers. They can always have a direct audience! And, we don’t like to mention the bit of legalese included that alludes to being drawn and quartered. That only applies to subjects who don’t keep the clients happy!
Seriously, Debra Shafer (our Queen) brings 30 years of experience in design, marketing, screen printing and business savvy to the kingdom every day. She remains the business strategist, creative director and general know-it-all for Dux D’Lux. Each week, you are just as likely to find her packing tee shirts, washing dishes and answering the phone as you are to see her taking meetings or emails in her office. It’s that top-down approach to managing the daily workings of the company that gives Dux D’Lux a reputation for quality service and attention to detail. So, ask for an audience with the Queen the next time you call!
