Fashion
and product trends are changing faster than ever. Businesses
today need quality as well as cost-effective products. Many
apparel manufacturers have developed new textiles and treatments

level to address various consumer concerns. The good news is

reasonable costs. Read on to find out about some of the new
innovations in the apparel market.
Whether its wrinkle-free, water proof, or extra durable, today's
companies are looking for apparel that is designed to meet specific
needs. Dux D'Lux has been researching the newest textiles and
textile treatments in the industry, in order to provide our
clients with as many options as possible. Take a look at some
of the specialized fabrics that are available to meet your corporate
wearable needs.
MICROFIBER
-- made up of ultra fine melted filament spun into fibers to
make a soft-feeling fabric with extra strength, durability,
and low maintenance.
WRINKLE FREE -- sometimes
called polynosic, this synthetic rayon has undergone the process
in which the material becomes warmer and more heat retentive
creating a wrinkle-free garment.
UV PROTECTIVE -- this is
usually determined by the color of the fabric and tightness
of the weave. Synthetic fabrics have a tendency to be more UV
protective.
ANTIMICROBIAL -- fabrics
that work against odors.
WATER-PROOF -- garments that do not allow any water to
penetrate the fabric or the seams, (Gore-Tex for example).
WATER RESISTANT -- fabrics
that are resistant to water, but do not repel against water
at the seams or when submersed.
MERCERIZED COTTON -- the process of stripping residue
on individual cotton fibers. These fibers are then woven with
a very tight weave providing a durable yet sleek fabric.
STRETCH COTTON -- Fabrics made up of a blend of cotton
and lycra to create a garment that has the look of cotton, but
is formfitting without loosing its shape
